1. Transporting Your Pet
Ensure that your pet is transported in a safe and secure manner.
  2. Water for Pets
Water points will be available for your dog throughout the event, with running water available inside Rookesbury House. These points will be clearly marked on site maps and highlighted in the free show guide, with regular refills to ensure access to fresh water.
  3. Leaving Pets Unattended
Never leave your pet unattended in a vehicle. Even in mild weather, temperatures inside a car can rise quickly and become dangerous. If any pets are found locked in cars under unsuitable conditions, our staff may need to take action, including seeking assistance to remove the animal.
  4. Health Concerns
If your pet becomes unwell or suffers a sudden health issue while at the event, please consult a member of our team or the onsite vet immediately. For human visitors, first aid services are available at the event’s medical tent. Please consider your dog’s health and age before attending. Rest areas will be available throughout the event to give your dog a break.
  5. Event Environment and Suitability
The event will be busy with many people and animals. If your dog or any other pet is anxious or doesn’t enjoy such environments, please consider whether this is the right setting for them.
  6. Leads and Control
All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and remain under your control at all times.
  7. Vaccinations and Health
Dogs attending must be up to date with their vaccinations. If your dog is unwell or has a contagious medical condition, they should not attend the event.
  8. Bitches in Season
Bitches in season are not allowed at the event.
  9. Identification
Your dog must wear a collar with a tag displaying your name and contact details, including a phone number in case of emergencies.
  10. Participation in Activities
If you’d like your dog to take part in any “have-a-go” activities, it is your responsibility to ensure they are fit and able to participate safely. Don’t force your pet into any activity they are uncomfortable with.
  11. Clean Up After Your Pet
Please clean up after your dog. Bins will be available throughout the event site.
  12. Handling and Mistreatment
Anyone seen mistreating or handling their pet poorly will be asked to leave the event immediately. The use of inappropriate training devices such as electric shock collars, choke chains, or spray collars is prohibited.
  13. Weather Conditions
Keep an eye on the weather and make sure both you and your dog are prepared for a day out. Hot weather can be particularly hard on certain breeds, such as dogs with thick coats, short faces (like Pugs or Bulldogs), older dogs, overweight dogs, or those on specific medication. There will be plenty of places with shade and water to help your dog stay cool and hydrated. Be mindful of your dog’s comfort and health in varying weather conditions.
  14. General Care
Keep an eye on the weather and make sure both you and your dog are prepared for a day out. There will be places to rest and find shade around the event site.
  15. Responsibility
The welfare and behaviour of your pet are your responsibility at all times. Pets must not be left unattended.
